This is a commissioned photograph i did for the model that appears in the picture. She wanted something completely different- and i have to admitt this isnt "perfect" but this is one of my first attempts to allow the muse of David La Chappelle flow through me! There are actually only 4 real apples in this picture... find them and you get a cookie! This picture was taken on a roof top in QUEENS, NEWYORK on my trip there a week ago!

I appreciate the feature and how many people it brought to my page but let me just say... This image is what started my career. I took it with a POINT and SHOOT KODAK EASY SHARE camera while in new york with someone that had liked what i was capable of doing with just a point and shoot. She paid me so i thought "fuck the vacation... lets make some money" i was not yet passionate about the art of photos. BUT, it was the catalyst to get people talking about me and my work.

Since then I have had a world open up to me and I have been able to do a CD cover and booklet for VIRGIN RECORDS and even gone further with my career. This image means the world to me and I am glad some of you like it and the rest of you, I agree it needs work. I said that myself when i posted it. I see flaws all the way through it BESIDES the fact that i took it when I was still using an EASYSHARE camera and had NEVER USED lighting equipment or a professional camera or anything.

it was a turning point for me and I hope you can appreciate that as i do. If you are weighing it out as an image that holds its own now? no. I dont think it does that.
